a sonic imprint of my date with an automaton.

one week after launching "in the arms of somnus", while curating some of my best work for my very first ambient release, i discovered a new piece of software on one of my favorite music tech blogs. this discovery propelled me into obsession and curiosity out of which was born a fully-formed album created entirely within this software.

recorded over a single week (plus one day), commencing the same day of software download, this album documents my direct, raw experience of discovery with automatonism.

all sound sources, melodic, harmonic and rhythmic sequences created solely within the free pure data-based modular software synth, automatonism.*
